Exhibition and Stage Studio

Brief : Design a fashion show ramp in the hall of the Intercontinental hotel.

This is the plan of the hall with the seating arrangements . As you can see there are four projector screen on two sides which a one of the main elements of the design which shows the model walking from the start of the stage to the end

As my main inspiration was words you can see the display of the stage is completely covered with words which relate to the design word .

Restaurant Studio

Brief : Design a restaurant in the ocean connected to the beach by a pier.

                                                               Plan


This is the design of the  karaoke bar. The bar is divided by small levels  starting from the interactive kitchen and bar , then the seating for two and four and then comes the stage for karaoke .

The back wall shown in the section is completely covered with lights which acts as a visualizer for the music playing in the bar and it is the same on the opposite wall while the other two sides have a complete glass facade providing the view of the ocean and beach.

Office Studio

                       Space Utilization


Brief : Design an office for a desired type of customer

This design is for a life insurance agency . Space utilization was the main thought behind the layout .As it is a insurance agency when a customer  enter the place after the reception will find the agents , then to continue with discussions would require a meeting room which is provided . then there is a conference room for the employees and the employer .And lastly a restroom and a panrtry for refreshments

                              Flooring plan

Tiles of two sizes are used the 1 - 1 for the restroom and 2 - 2 for the rest of the office except the managers cabin and the ceo’s cabin.

Retail Studio

Brief : Design a retail outlet in hi - life mall for which the plan was given and each student was alotted a different space and hadto choose to which kind of retail store they would design.

                                                 Conceptual model 

This design is for an electrical gadget store.The highways were my inspiration of which I first took an outline and the spaces that were created by the intersections of the highways became the layout of my store . The picture above is the conceptual model that was made.

The layout of the conceptual model had to be incorporated into the alotted retail store which was of this shape and had two pillars supporting the structure . Hence a few changes were made in order to place the shelves that would contain the goods.

The store has a complete glass facade on two sides . As you can see the shelves have different heights and are made in a manner that the smaller goods can be displayed in the shelfs and the bigger ones like a television or a computer could be displayed on top of it .

Residential studio

Brief : Design a house for a modern family of four which consists of a couple and two children.

My inspiration was the atom which would form the basic structure of the house .First I drew an outline of the atom and then started to play with the shape to come to a point where I could divide the spaces into required rooms and maintain connectivity between them.

On the left is the plan to the first floor which shows the division of space. The first floor consists os the master bedroom, childrens room , kitchen , swimmingpool area and seating area in the middle which provides a staircase to the second floor. The second floor is divided into four different terraces to give a different atmosphere .The flooring of the  one is grass , second is sand , third is pebbles and the fourth one is used for providing a slide to the swimmingpool.

The section shows the kitchen ,seating area , staircase leading to the second floor and mainly the way the slide comes down to swimmgpool which is one of the important characteristics of the house.
